CCI was founded by Tim King and Ryan Skinner – two individuals who care deeply about the environment and the communities in which they live and work.
Tim and Ryan also care about the planet and what it’s going to be like for their grandchildren. They care about long-term economic health and sustainability. They care about creating livable-wage jobs that will reinvigorate a stagnant job market. Even better, they don’t support greed. Or making a buck at the expense of others. Or winning if it means someone has to lose.
As business leaders, they value people and truly believe everyone should share in success – from employees and business partners to customers and the surrounding community. By employing individuals and building partnerships with people who share common values, CCI and its subsidiaries have an opportunity to spread the wealth.
Instead of significant margins to drive profits, pricing will be fair and employees and partners will have an opportunity for profit sharing. In addition, employees and partners will be encouraged to share CCI’s vision, mission and values to increase awareness about its sustainable business model.

- creating the systems that incorporate the participation of 170 regional sales representatives of Sysco Systems for Coastal Marketing, a regional Food Service Brokerage Company in Western Washington.
- launching an entrepreneurial brick-and-mortar health food store with successful Internet and coffee-roasting divisions, which was later acquired by Harvest Foods, a regional chain of grocery stores.
- providing leadership and direction on the recovery of two failing multi-million dollar projects with Allied Floors — both projects were successfully turned around and completed on time.
During his ownership of the health food store, Ryan realized his passion was not only in the health of others, but also in the health of the planet and the economy.
